To the Participants of the 2011 ARES-Oklahoma Simulated Emergency Test (SET),

Let me take this opportunity to pass on my congratulations for successfully participating in the 2011 ARES-Oklahoma Simulated Emergency Test (SET).

The SET is a great opportunity for all to discover the strengths and weaknesses of ARES-OK, NTS, and other groups in providing emergency communications. The SET provides challenges and feedback that will be used in future training goals.

This years SET also help’s radio amateurs gain experience in communications using standard procedures and a variety of modes under simulated-emergency conditions.

Also during the SET we had the chance to provide a public demonstration--to served agencies such as the American Red Cross, many emergency management agencies and the news media--of the value to the public that Amateur Radio provides, particularly in time of need.

Thank you for making the effort, improving your emergency communications skills, and serving you communities through Amateur Radio.  Well Done!
