Dear Mr. Conklin.
This is Fredrick West KG4VWD of Gainesville, Fl. I agree with on this issue, but it's also nice to take the others because of methodology change in the EM area. Myself I've completed 136 out 177, personally I like doing them since 2005, one problem that I have and maybe I don't understand the system fully, when you pass a course I know it goes into FEMA's database, where does it go or does it go any were, if not it should to the state EM and there it should be funneled down to the county EM. Would like your thoughts and option on it.
Thanks
Fredrick West KG4VWD

The question was asked: "If I took the IC-100 do I need to take the IC-100.b course now?"
For ARES-OK volunteers and leaders the answer is NO. The ###.a or ###.b is simply the newest version.
If you took the older version and it is listed on your transcript from FEMA/EMI training - you are good and do NOT need to take the new version unless you really want to. (Same applys to for 200 and 800.)
