Bike MS Oklahoma2011 Bike MS Oklahoma: The Mother Road Ride

presented by Sam’s Club, Tulsa to OKC on Historic Route 66 September 17 – 18, 2011

TRO will be providing communication support for the Bike MS on September 17th, and 18th. This will be an all expense paid event to include food, fuel, over night rooms if needed. Our Activities Committee will need to move forward with planning time being as short as it is for this one and like always there will be a lot to do in preparation.

Bike MS Oklahoma will take riders on an unforgettable two-day journey from Tulsa through the rolling plains of Oklahoma using Route 66 as our guide to Oklahoma City. More than 800 cyclists will cruise along scenic roads riding along the Mother Road. Come enjoy five full meals, generous amenities, stunning landscapes stocked rest stops every 10 to 12 miles at spectacular sites, and spirited festivities. Join us as we ride along the country’s most historic road – Route 66.

If you accept the challenge, you’ll join a powerful movement dedicated to a world free of MS.  Operators will ride with event SAG vehicles to provide safety communications to the operation staff.  Some May want to drive POV that would be covered as well.  We have a lot of obstacles to work through to make this event communication support operation successful.  OKC has been contacted for support.  We will need all that can help and would like to know as soon as possible who would be able and willing to provide help for (1) day or (2).  I have been advised that we are to be communication support.  We will not be used for traffic control.

To volunteer to help with this event contact Tommy Stroud - KD5OPH at 918.695.3735 or email KD5OPH at tulsahamradio.org
