Greetings,
With various facets or branches giving away my tax dollars hand over fist with little oversight to various entities in order for those entitiies to continue to make more money (probably by taking it out of my pocket with the other hand), it seems that the FCC is being more than a little hardnosed in their strict interpretation of "pecuniary interest." There is no money being made for the participating entity in a disaster drill. Granted, the employee/ham is being paid to perform a duty but for the public good. It would be interesting to know what dim-witted bureaucrat came up with this interpretation and what his "pecuniary interest" is in this.
As regards to the length of time to receive a waiver, ask the car dealers how long it takes a government agency to process paperwork.
This is another incidence that shows the FCC is not the ham's friend.
Peace,
Richard Manloove, W!WFE
