Route 66 Quarter Marathon

So far we have 2 volunteers.. . still need 8 more - PLEASE

Route 66 Quarter Marathon - This Saturday, 8/1/2009
Need 10 Operators will be positioned at Event Safety & Water Stations
All OP positions should be stationary

Some of the event details:
Route 66 Quarter Marathon ... 1500 to 2000 runners expected
This event also includes a Route 66 5km Run & a Route 66 Fun Run.
4 live Bands playing during the event at the same time at different
locations bring your headphones or ear buds.

Streets Close at 0500 Local
Meeting time; 0700 Local
Meeting Location: changed to 2ND and Elgin (Start Line)
Event start Time: 0800 Local
Event Finish Time: projected to be 1300 Local
Our Primary Function: Communication for the event
Operation Freq: 146.940 repeater
Back up 146.880 repeater or 147.390


Last year during the 2008 Route 66 Half Marathon we had three major
medical priority 3 emergencies, please try and help out if you can this is
a BIG EVENT.
