An Ice Storm Warning remains in effect from noon today to 6 PM
CST Sunday for the following counties...

In Arkansas...

In Oklahoma...
Osage... Washington... Nowata... Craig... Ottawa... Pawnee... Tulsa...
Rogers... Mayes... Delaware... creek... Okfuskee... Okmulgee...

... Major ice storm expected across portions of eastern Oklahoma
   and northwest Arkansas...

Widespread ice accumulations around one inch are likely through
Sunday with locally higher amounts along and south of Interstate
44. Significant ice accumulation on trees and power lines will
likely cause numerous power outages that could last for days.
Preparations for the ice storm should be completed as quickly as
possible this morning.

Areas of freezing rain will develop today across northeast
Oklahoma and continue to increase in coverage overnight. Rounds of
additional freezing rain are likely Saturday with significant ice
accumulations expected Saturday night into Sunday. The freezing
rain may transition to sleet north of Interstate 44 on Sunday
before the precipitation shifts east Sunday night.

Make sure you have an adequate supply of food... water and
necessary medication to last through the duration of the ice
storm. Due to the likelihood of power outages... flashlights with
a good supply of batteries is recommended. Make sure vehicles are
prepared for the icy conditions and have a full tank of gas.

If you do lose heat and power during the storm... do not use
burning devices that are not approved for indoor use. Many people
are injured or die from fire or Carbon monoxide poisoning.

Persons should delay travel Saturday into Sunday if possible.
Roads... bridges... and overpasses in the warning area will likely
become slick and hazardous. Accumulation of ice on roadways will
make travel treacherous. Motorists should use extreme caution if
travel is absolutely necessary.
