After a noted flury of activity, the ARES Oklahoma group has released
their new web site. It may viewed at

http://www.aresok.org/

There you will find the recently finalized "Section Plan" for
Oklahoma. It may be downloaded off the main page (scroll down just a
bit). Please take time to use the "Section break down" to review
information about all of the individual counties and in general "look
around."

The development of this site has been a group project from the
beginning in late August of 2006. Many thanks to those who have
helped me fix bugs, expand content, reviewed the site, etc. In
looking through it, please keep in mind that this is a *BASIS* for
doing further things. It is not the "end game" web site, but rather a
very new direction towards making it an active and vital element in
our ARES function. If you have constructive ideas as to how to expand
or improve it, please feel free to email them to me directly at:

rstolfa at yahoo.com

Now we invite ALL of the ARES members in the Oklahoma Section to join
the web site. The ARES database of active members was horribly out of
date and incomplete. By loging in and "Apply"ing for your own
position, we will be able to completely update the ARES database.
Furthermore, once you have applied, you will be in complete control of
keeping your contact information up to date. You will not rely on
anyone else to keep your information up to date any more.

Please review the web site, apply for membership, and let me know what
you think of it. I am very excited about the future of ARES in
Oklahoma, and I hope you are too.
