Please share this news:

The Salvation Army HQ in Sapulpa, OK is soon to open an Emergency
Operations Center. They have Amateur Radios both HF and dual band VHF/UHF.
There a few items that are needed to get these radios operational. This is
where you can help.

Look around your shack and see if you have any of the following items
which you can donate to this need:

2 – Ten foot mast sections (with eye bolt at top of one end)
1 – G5RV such as the EHAMs-TOP-G5RV-by-True-Talk (can be purchased only on
e-bay) 80-6m
COAX about 2 – 100 ft runs with connectors (one for HF and one for VHF/UHF)
2 – 2x4 about 8-10 ft long pressure treated (will be bolted to ends of
antenna tripods)
12 - Sand bags (to hold down antenna tripod to roof)
(we’ll also need a bucket and rope to pull tools and sand up to the roof)

The plan is to mount to 10 mast on each end of the Salvation Army’s gym
roof. The G5RV will run north-south between the mast. On the South mast a
Dual-Band Ringo will be placed on top of the mast for the VHF/UHF
operations. At a later date a tower and other antennas could be added to
this site.

Goal to have the EOC operational ASAP is not sooner. We need too set a
date for install very soon.
