We still need 9 Amateur Operators to help on this Saturday March 11,
2006 when there will be a test/drill of the Tulsa Area Amateur Radio
Hospital net.

On Saturday March 11, 2006 there will be a test/drill of
the Tulsa Area Amateur Radio Hospital net.
This test/drill is in partnership with the Tulsa Area Emergency Agency,
Metropolitan Medial Response Corp, and Amateur Radio Emergency Service.
We are looking for a total of 16 Amateur Operators to assist with this
test/drill. Rapid Response Team (RRT) members for TAEMA and Red Cross will
also be part of this test/drill. We are looking to at least 2 Amateur
Operators to be on a roster at are able to respond to the hospitals if
there are an actual communication emergency in our area (FYI: only one
Amateur Operator would be needed at a time during emergency operations).
It would be best is for the purpose of this test/drill that both Amateur
Operators participating in the test/drill so that you are trained and are
familiar with the Amateur stations at the hospitals.
Each of Hospitals listed below, should have a dual band VHF/UHF mobile
permanently installed, and ready for use in a communications emergency.
All volunteers please gather at the Martin East Regional Library at 2601
S. Garnett, in Tulsa at 1030 CST in the Lecture room for a short briefing
and training. Volunteers will be given instructions as to the location and
contact person at each hospital. Volunteers will also be picking up a
notebook binder to be taken and kept at each Amateur Radio Station at each
of the participating hospitals.
Once the briefing and training is concluded, volunteers will be on their
own for lunch and transportation to each participating hospital.
The drill/test Amateur Radio Hospital net will be called at approx. 1300
CST. Net Control Station will be the EOC at TAEMA. The back up NCS will
be the EOC at Red Cross.
