Although tragic, the situation as reported below does not meet Amber Alert
criteria. Amber Alerts are supposed to be issued for abductions by
STRANGERS. This is more of a domestic custody type issue and is far from
what the Amber Alert was designed for.
Once again, another law enforcement agency that's issuing alerts that don't
fit the criteria. I guess Cleveland County Sheriff's Office needs to pay
more attention in Amber Alert class. The people/vehicle below were believed
to headed towards Arkansas. They failed to mention that too.
Also, why are Amber Alerts coming over the ARRL Section List?

Oklahoma City - The Cleveland County Sheriff's Office has issued an Amber
Alert after a 21-month-old girl was abducted by her mother Friday morning.
Authorities say November Loper was taken by 22-year-old Misty Loper at
about 11:30 a.m. in Oklahoma City Friday morning and was assisted in the
abduction by two white males, one of which is identified as Eddie Dunn of
McLoud, who was the driver of the vehicle.
The vehicle is described as a white Ford pickup with the license plate
678-PUA. The child is described as a white female. She was last seen
wearing red panties only.
Anyone with information is asked to call their local law enforcement
immediately.
