Have you written or emailed your Congressman about H Res 230, introduced
by Rep Ross - WD5DVR?.
It is not only important, but imperative for you to encourage your
Oklahoma State Representatives to endorse this Resolution!!!!
If you have received this post then you have a computer, or access to
one. Type in the following <http://www.congress.org> -- Right in the
center of the page, it will say ... "Write Elected Officaials - enter
your zip code". It will ask for your nine digit Zip -- if you don't
know it, the program will ask for your address and tell you the last 4
digits of your nine digit Zip Code. Just follow the instructions --
WRITE OR EMAIL your Congressman!!!!
See the full text of this HR 230 Resolution and a 'sample letter' on
the ARRL site <http://www.arrl.org> -- it is the second article down, as
of today.

THIS IS WHAT I EMAILED TO MY CONGRESSMAN
Rep Ross has introduced a resolution (H Res 230) calling on the FCC to
"conduct a full and complete analysis" of interference from broadband
over power line {BPL). The previous FCC Commission completely ignored
our pleas and many others who have serious concerns regarding the
interference BPL does and will produce. BPL is not only harmful to
Amateur Radio, but Police, Fire, Emergency Management, EMS, and all
others utilizing VHF frequencies.
The President has encouraged the use of BPL, so I believe that is where
the emphasis came from to approve this detrimental mode of radio
transmission The FCC approved BPL before they really understood the
impact it will have on existing emergency 'First Responders'.
Please assist Rep Ross, from Arkansas, in his attempt to revisit this
poorly adopted BPL implementation
Thanks - Eddie Manley [K5EMS]
