>From time to time, well-meaning friends forward the
latest horror stories about all sorts of things. Before
we pass them on, we should check these "warnings"
out for truth.
There are several Internet sites we can use for this
purpose. The ones below are the ones I use. I am
reasonably sure there are others out there, but these
seem to be enough for me.
My favorite, due to ease of use, is:
http://www.snopes.com
Others you may find useful are:
http://hoaxbusters.ciac.org
http://www.truthorfiction.org
http://www.urbanlegends.com
For virus and worm myth/lie/legend/fable info:
http://www.vmyths.com
I try to remember to check out any story
I receive before forwarding to other folks.
I hope these sites will be as helpful to you as
they have been to me.
