Hmmm, didn't know this had acquired the status of Urban Legend, but that
simply emphasizes my request for details, the Who, What, When, and Where.  I
haven't seen any response from Joe B. regarding the specifics of his post.
Not trying to get anybody in trouble, but an appropriate response requires
that we know who is actually saying this..  So Joe, we need the details.  I
believe that John reads these messages, and will take the appropriate action
once he has the DETAILS.

Some folks might remember this issue came up a couple of years ago in a
state down south, back east, up north, out west  and it was the city
manager, EOC director, ambulance comm director and it was being funded by
a FEMA grant = = = = This is a story that has made many of the remailers
from the frequency coordinator to some Yahoo chat rooms.  Every time, it
raised lots of interest, response and fired up the keyboards nationwide.

If anybody has specific info - city, state or whatever agency - forward
that info to the ARRL section manager - John WB5SYT - to allow the proper
action to be addressed by the people that have authority to take the
action.  Otherwise, all the speculation is only rumor.
