Howdy - I drove 450 miles - I roved 4 grid squares - took 2 days -
EM17,EM18,EM08,EM07 ---- I worked 1 station on 2 bands - had 1 radio fail
-
2 antennas in the car I failed to get mounted - the station I worked was
KA0MR - from EM18 -- maybe 70 miles --- Saturday night about 8:20 CST PM
on
2m and Sunday morning at about 7 AM CST on 6m -- I spent 15 hours
roving ---- propagation was lousy - I missed a tornado on the ground by
about 6-7 miles in Barton county --- as my national contest partner said
to
me --- you have no control over propagation and weather - and can't
predict
it 6 months in advance --- so I expect to try again next year -- I do
know
people were on --- Bob worked 6 people on 5 of the 6 bands (missed 903)
---
K0UO - EM07 -- N0LD - EM17 -- N0LL - EM09 -- W0EKZ - EM17 - WW5DX - EM16
--
KA0KCI - EM08 ------------- I do hope quite a few people send in any logs
they have - I can create a list of who is active in the area ---- THANKS
for
your participation --- oh well --- thanks for ALL YOUR EFFORTS --- Dave
Powers - KA0KCI
