Vy active time in the OK Section!

-this Saturday, November 8 the AR-OK Salvation Army nets will be underway at 
8 am:
3900 HF net called by Linda-N1LPN
146.820 VHF called by John-WB5SYT*
both net controls are in the OKC area
*pinch hitting for Forest-N5VWF

Check in if at possible.  These are in preparation for the unanticipated 
disasters wherein our communication capabilities is crucial. The nets just take a 
few minutes but pay huge dividends in answering when the bell rings!

-Saturday, November 15 balloon launches are scheduled for central & eastern 
OK.  Particulars to follow.  Plenty of preparation has been and is underway 
with the balloons to make this a productive and fun activity.

-Saturday, November 15 StateHood Day Special Event from Guthrie. The 
Governor's Proclamation naming this day as Amateur Radio day in OK is scheduled to be 
obtained from the Governor's office early during the week of November 10.
