Amateur Radio emergency communication and disaster relief is presently
underway in the Oklahoma City area. This associated with tornado damage
which struck central OK in the late afternoon of May 8. Thus far, repeaters
on 146.82, 147.09 and 146.67, and perhaps others, are being used.

The Amateur Radio effort will be underway for some time and relief help is
needed. Please check in 146.82 as to your availability. These type events
are stressful and demanding so be patient with the public, the process and
your fellow Amateur Radio operator. By pulling together during these times
the public which desperately needs our help benefits. Courtesy and brevity
are crucial.

As below, the FCC has declared a General Communciation Emergency in OK. And,
has declared 3900 KHZ as a protected frequency. Thank you for your support
and willingness to assist in this emergency. More communication to follow.
