The Tulsa Health Department Amateur Radio Club is teaming up with the =
Oklahoma Section of the ARRL to operate a special event station from the =
Health Department's EOC on April 7 to help bring attention to the World =
Health Organization's annual celebration of "World Health Day." This =
year's promotion, with the theme "Healthy Environments for Children," is =
designed to bring attention to the fact that millions of children die =
annually from environmentally related illnesses that could be saved =
through the creation of healthy settings, whether in the home, the =
school, or the community at large.
Please put the word out through your local nets, newsletters and clubs =
that the Tulsa Health Department Amateur Radio Club, in conjunction with =
the OK Section ARRL leadership, will be operating K5THD from 0000Z to =
2359Z, April 7, to celebrate "World Health Day 2003." The frequencies =
are 28.365, 21.365, 14.265, 7.265, and 14.070 (PSK31). A certificate =
will be available for all who QSL. SASEs are appreciated.
Thanks, in advance, for your assistance in helping to make this special =
event a success. Please email me or our incoming SM at the below email =
addresses if you have any questions regarding the event.=20
