REAL SCAM ALERT - If you have an eBay account, you probably got a email
from
[email protected] about "your account info" having been corrupted - -
- It directs you to a link ( http://www.angelfire.com/ak5/ebay14 ) that
pops up with eBay's logo header and footer. BUT it wants a lot of
uncalled for info, ssn, drivers license, mothers maiden name, eBay
account & password, Paypal account & password... I forwarded the message
to the ebay security folks and they sent me a confirmation that it is a
SCAM! If you got a msg from somebody wanting you to confirm your account
info, forward it to eBay at - spoof@eBay or go to their page to report
security violations. They also added the reminder that any eBay business
will be conducted thru their website only.
Don't give anybody personal info on a website or even a cordless phone -
never - never - never!!!
