This situation is taking place all over Northeastern OK. I know for a fact
some of these radios are being sold by a dealer in a small town North of
Muskogee.
The latest issue of QST has a small item.......I don't remember where I saw
it.....but it deals with a ham using a modified radio on Marine freqs. The
FCC wanted to know all kinds of details like who sold the radio, who did
the mods and was it modified when purchased.
This is becoming a major problem and it would be a help if there was a way
to start an FCC investigation....especially into the sales of these units.
