Roger on that - sometimes I don't care if I pay a little more to someone
if I know I don't have to send my (whatever I bought) to some place just to
get it fixed.
(I kinda feel the same way about a local restaurant where several of the
girls "take care of me" because they know what I want and they go ahead and
bring the extra salsa when they bring me the chips! I usually give them a
fiver, where others leave only a buck. It's amazing how so much little
makes you feel good -- plus you generally get much better service to boot!! )
If someone local has something I want and I feel I want to buy from them,
I'll gladly spend a little more bucks to get something local that I know
that if I have a problem with it, all I have to do is bring it in and
they'll fix it.
I'm pretty disappointed in some of the mail order guys. Their stuff
generally works, but if you have a problem with something, look out! Get
ready for a hassle.
