Argonaut V HF Transceiver, Desk Microphones, Speakers,
Power Supplies, Magnetic Loop Antenna, and Antenna
Tuner For Sale:
.
.
Argonaut V, Model 516 HF Transceiver
The Argonaut V is classed as a QRP transceiver, although
some QRP purists would not consider it as such, since it
has about 20 watts output. It covers 160 thru 10 meters,
including the WARC bands and the 5 MHz band. It has a
general coverage receiver from 500 to 30,000 kHz .
It features AM, SSB, CW and FM with 35 IF-DSP receive filters
built-in. This radio has a meter and an LED display. The rear
panel has a large heat sink. This Argonaut V has the 308A fan
and cable kit installed.
In many ways, this transceiver is similar to the TenTec Jupiter,
but without the 100 Watt amplifier. It is a very easy to use
rig, with out the need for 1000 menus. The LED readout goes
to the hertz, i.e. it will read 7.255.000. It is relatively
small, making it ideal for portable operation.
This one works 100%. It looks the same. I can not find a
scratch or defect of any sort on it. Power cord and paper
work are included for $500.

.
TenTec 705 Desk Microphone
The 705 desk mic is the standard desk mic used with
the Argonaut above. It has a 4 pin plug wired for
TenTec on it. It has an electret mic element that
has great frequency response.
Two are available.
One is new, still in its original box, only removed to
verify its operation. $85
The second is out of the box, but still looks fine, and
of course operates fine. With paper work for $70.
.
.
TenTec 307 B Speaker
This is the black speaker used with most TenTec rigs.
This one works fine and looks like new. No scratches
or defects.
Paper work is included for $85.
.
.
Gap "Hear It" Speaker:
The Gap "Hear It" is a compact speaker with digital
signal processing to reduce or eliminate noise. This
speaker greatly improves signal to noise ratio and
speech clarity. It can be used for AM, FM or SSB
voice signals. This innovative product was developed
in England and is available now in the USA.
A front mounted bi-color LED lets you know when the
speaker is drawing power (red) and when it is processing
(green).
The rear panel features a control used to set the eight
levels of noise cancelling. It also has the DC input jack
for the required 12-28 VDC at 500 mA. An audio lead
is included (3.5 mm mini mono plug). This device comes
with a DC power cable, or you can purchase a "Wall
Wart" for operation from AC for an extra $10.
It uses a convenient "Gimble Mount".
This one works fine and looks like new. These sell for
about $170 new. Buy this one for only $110.
.
.
Medium Current 13 V DC Power Supplies:
All work fine, and look fine. They will furnish
enough current for the Argonaut V above.
Pyramid PS-7 regulated supply
7 amp supply,
modified with a large heat sink on the top cover $25
Staco RPS-6, 6 amp regulated power supply
Ideal for 25 watt VHF or dual band rigs. $30
Stinger 6 amp regulated power supply
Similar to RPS-6 above. $30
.
.
Astron RS-20 A, 20 amp Power Supply:
This is a bit of over kill for the Argonaut V, but
it will give plenty of excess current capacity.
The Astron RS-20 A is a very common power supply around
most ham shacks. It provides 13 V DC for many ham rigs.
Features:
Solid State Electronically Regulated
Fold-Back Current Limiting Protects Power Supply from
...excessive current & continuous shorted output
Crowbar Over Voltage Protection
Excellent Regulation & Low Ripple at low line input voltage.
Heavy Duty Heat Sink
Chassis Mount Fuse
Three Conductor Power Cord
Specifications:
Input Voltage 105-125Vac
Output Voltage 13.8Vdc (internally Adjustable 11-15V)
Ripple Less than 5mV peak-peak (full load & low line)
Continuous Duty 16 Amps; ICS 20 Amps
Size 5" x 9" x 10-1/2"
This particular supply works great. It only varies 0.01 Volts
with a load! Cosmetically it looks great.
With paper work for only $65.

.
Caras Manufacturing Magnetic Loop Antenna System:
The HF-315 is a magnetic loop antenna that is ideal for
portable operation. It breaks down so that it can be
carried in a backpack. All of the various parts together
weigh under 3 pounds. It is just under 3 feet in diameter.
It covers from 3 to 15 MHz, which of course includes the
75/80, 40, 30, and 20 meter ham bands as well as the 5 MHz
band. Power handling capabilities is limited to 25 Watts
PEP, or 10 Watts continuous carrier (CW) due to the special
tuning box that is included with the unit.
More details are at http://doxytronics.com/
This one is new, never assembled. These sell new for about
$140. Buy this one for only $80.
.
.
MFJ-949 E HF Antenna Tuner:
The MFJ 949 E tuner has a "cross needle" SWR bridge
built into it, so one can read both forward power,
reflected power, and SWR at the same time. The
meter has a switched back light, assuming 12 Volts
is applied to the tuner. The wattmeter portion will
read either 30 W or 300 W full scale, either peak
or average power.
An antenna switch will switch between either balanced
line, two coax antennas, or an internal dummy load.
Antennas can be operated thru the tuner, or the tuner
can be bypassed. This tuner will operate on 160 thru
10 meters, including the WARC bands.
This particular unit works 100%. It looks extremely nice.
I can not find a scratch on it. It is probably new, as
it is still in its original box, but has been tested.
Paper work is included for $110.
Wall wart 12 V DC power supply for above. $10
.
.
I also have many other accessories available such as many
different types of microphones, HTs, VHF and UHF rigs, HF
and VHF/UHF antennas, connectors, miscellaneous accessories,
etc.
Just too many to list here. Please e-mail your requests.

Prices do not include shipping from Florida.
Thanks.
