Hi. folks,
It is nice to get a place for the Argo geeks... lovers!
As a kid, I droled over the schematics of the PM2 published on the
"Manual del Radioaficionado Emisorista", our Handbook of that time
here in Spain. I almost knew it from memory... but it was almost
impossible to get. After finishing my studies, I got as a graduation
present from my parents an Argo 515, which helped me to get DXCC on
SSB. With the advent of the Internet and the lists I was able to
get another 515 with an extra band!!! The 28 MHz switch had another
two positions to the left of 28.0... Yep! CB at it's best!
Later I got some 509 and 505, two PM3, another 515 with the filter,
an Argosy, and an Omni D. 
Yes, I am an "Argo man" and I still have a warm fond for my "shoeboxes".
