[Argonaut_USERS_Group] New To The Group

Holiday Greetings To All,

Don't know what the usual procedure is here on this group, but I see some 
new members are introducing themselves, so I shall do likewise.

I am a long time Arogonaut fan.  My first Argonaut was the 505, which I 
bought shortly after they first came out. I bought it while on a trip to NYC 
at Barry Electronics from "old Barry" himself.  For several years this was 
my principal radio, and it went everywhere with me--in the car, camping, 
etc.  Later I added a 405 amp to get a little more signal for my almost 
nightly conversations with VK4YP and ZL3AB on 20 meter SSB.  Other than that 
though, I'm mostly a CW lover.

Prior to the 505 I had been using a PM3-A, and prior to that I had been 
fumbling around with QRP by building several small rigs.  The xmtrs worked 
O.K., but the receivers were usually suspect!  The 505 is still with me, as 
is the PM3-A!

Since then I have acquired a series of Ten-Tec rigs, most of which I still 
own.  Currently I also have a 509, an Argo, a couple of 405 amps, and a 
recently acquired Argonaut V.  The Argonaut V is currently in position #1 on 
my operating table, and I'm still tinkering to find all the preferred 
settings.
