Got this question as part of an email from Jim Lowman, AD6CW, and you guys
can see my reply below. I THINK this is a good policy, but want to hear
from you if you don't agree.
"BTW - I assume that your ARGONAUT list is for the older rigs, and not for
the Argo V?"
REPLY:
Well-l-l-l... as far as I'm concerned, any Argonaut discussion is OK-even
if the Group is mainly intended for the older ones. I already had a query
about mentioning Argosy's that I put to the group. It is related
somewhat-since I suspect it inherited Argonaut circuitry. As long as people
don't get out of hand with it, I don't mind somewhat-related topics. I
advised the guy who asked, that I thought he'd be better off on some TenTec
reflector(s?) but that he was welcome to ask his questions. That kind of
latitude isn't possible on something as large as QRP-L-and I will be sure
it doesn't get out of hand... and told him that if anybody minded he would
have to not include it.
The bottom line-as in your case: if it's named an ARGONAUT, and TenTec made
it, it's certainly OK.
P.S. I am pleased to add that Jim is also a member of this Group.
