The hump day net was not held today because of a BARS VHF?repeater outage.?I tried to drum up some business on the "reverse split" but had no luck.?
As if that was not enough, the N4DLW-R Echo Link node went down?at the same time due to a power outage at Daves house where the?node is located.?

An account of the problem follows.?

The VHF repeater was offline for a couple of hours this evening?between 6:30 and 8:30 pm.?
As it happened a thunderstorm went through the area shortly before?this time. It is not known if this had anything to do with the problem.

Dave (N4DLW) went to the site and discovered a 20-ampere breaker?feeding the repeater had tripped.?
Dave reset the breaker and the repeater came back to life.?
The cause of the tripped breaker could not be determined but?Dave shifted some loads to another plug to, hopefully, prevent a?reoccurrence.?
So far-so good.?
