I had a very fine vacation over the Christmas holidays and did some 
work in my make-shift dining room shop. 

If anyone is interested, I can bring some equipment to measure some 
antenna gains of some of the various antennas I have. 

The measurement frequency will be 10223 Mhz and the transmitter 
power will be 30 mw. It will not be a problem to get into the 
"far field" at this frequency. I have a reference antenna attached 
to the signal source and will measure the relative gain of a 
few antennas. 

1. 4 inch horn
2. 1 inch horn
3. dielectric antenna
4. spiral antenna 
5. conical helix antenna
6. straight WR90 waveguide transition
7. Log Periodic Dipole Array
8. Others if I can dig them up. 

I will be using an HP 435 power meter with an HP 8484D power 
sensor on the receive end. 

I have a "white board" somewhere to log the readings of each 
antenna. I hope I can find it. If not, we will just use a piece of 
paper. 

Is anyone interested?

   It's almost time for another fine AReU meeting:  Next Tuesday
   February 3, 2015 we will meet at our usual place es at our usual time.

          Be a part of the best technical HAM club hereabouts, a place to
   meet with fellow HAMs to share experiences, get help from more
seasoned HAMs about everything from operating, equipment es to get help
with your repair problems.
    (with no demands upon you es no pressure or red tape of any color)

   BTW: Everyone is encouraged to post any HAM related questions that
   you or your friends have right here any time in the month.  That is
   what this reflector is for, that es these meeting notices.

   It has come to my attention that the North door is no longer a path
   to our meeting room, please walk around the corner to the West side
   of the building es enter through the kitchen door.
    (closest to the sports complex next door es it's parking lot)

          So join us at the Bell Shoals Baptist church building "C" in
   South Brandon at 7 for RC or 7:30 for the program, when we have one.
   If you are bringing a program, please let me know so I can advertize
it.
