All:

If everything goes OK in the next few days, I would like to bring some
equipment for demonstration at AREU. If someone else has already
scheduled something, just put me on the list for next month.
I have purchased a dual trace oscilloscope that connects to your USB
port and will respond fine to a 10 MHz signal (fine for 99% of all
oscilloscope measurements) for $61.00 plus shipping on E-Bay. It is
brand new and worked fine on the first try.
For about $150.00, you can get a USB powered oscilloscope that goes to
50 MHz.
I would have traded my first born for a 50 MHz oscilloscope 40 years ago.
I have a 10 MHz standard oscillator that I will test for output purity
with the scope.
I also will bring two 10 GHz transceivers for an across the room QSO.
I will bring my USB powered signal generator and demonstrate some extra
capabilities that I have discovered since the last meeting. It can be
used as a beacon transmitter and can send CW with the computer keyboard.
It can be set for any frequency from 34 to 4400 MHz. It can be set for a
mode that you can send CW with the space bar.
I am thinking about bringing a larger display so that folks can see better.

   Tony:

If you want to look at the purity feed both scope axises and you
should get a diagonal line, any bending is some form of distortion.
First test with 60 Hz power, it should be quite pure.
