I don't think I have ever requested a subject for AReU, so I guess
it's my turn. I would like to hear the groups take on the design and
operation of wire antennas. I have been following a yahoo group
discussion on NVIS and they are talking about center-fed and OCF
dipoles, doublets, the Windom, a Carolina windom, single wires, etc. And
of course that leads to single wire feeds, balanced lines, baluns and
coax feeds. Maybe this could evolve into the use of an antenna design
computer program at some point. I have a very limited antenna site and
am looking for something that would do "better" on multiple bands than
the Octopus (75, 40, 20, 15 meter hamstick dipoles) that I am using now.
I will bring a drawing with dimensions on my possibilities.
Happy New Year to you and your Family
