[AReU]                                        March, 2009 meeting REPORT

    Well, we had another fine AReU meeting last evening, several of our regular
friends were missing last evening and one of our regular "radio friends" told us
he will miss the next two (or so) because of a nice trip that is planned.

   Next week, March 10 we shall have another fine "Mid Florida DX Association"
meeting see: http://www.w4fdx.com for some fine HAM radio links.
   We are very lucky to have these two no-cost HAM clubs here in Brandon.
The "Mid Florida DX Association" meets at Mike Du Mond QTH, 125 Hickory
Creek Dr., Brandon, FL.  Time: 7:00 PM, Call me after 7 pm or E-mail me
for directions.  If I am not yet home leave a phone number!

   As I talked to Bob WB4AKA on the *.165 machine a few weeks ago I realized
many HAMS even those that are not interested in chasing DX should know and
would be interested in the details of getting their QSL cards from those
occasional DX contacts that they work, even on VHF.
   The "Mid Florida DX Association" meetings is how you can learn all about it, easily.
   If you are interested in DX or always wanted to work some DX, please make an effort
to attend this meeting.
