AReU meeting notice for May, 2008.
As the old saying goes: (it is my saying so I remember it well)
"April showers bring May flowers, in Florida this frequent comes a couple of months late."
And with the showers frequently come lightning, this menace looms before us so:
The time is right, so I would like to present my "How lightning works" presentation at
the May meeting, NEXT Tuesday. It is an extemporaneous talk about how lightning works,
nothing new everything is as it has been. My hope is that I will encourage you to analyze
your situation and rig for self preservation. Questions are welcomed.
This never consumes all of our time, so "show and share" will follow.
QST published an excellent two part article on this subject, named "Lightning:
Understand It or Suffer the Consequences " the first part is in the February, the second
part, the April 2008 edition. These are must reads and they point out everything that I
will discus and much more.
So remember:
05-06-08 Tuesday is our next monthly meeting day.
REGULAR PLACE Bell Shoals Baptist Church at the far North end
REGULAR TIME 7 pm RC, 7:30 program begins
