Fred is back in the hospital.   He was admitted to the Plant City hospital on December 4, 2008.  He was still losing blood.   They did another endoscopy. They found and cauterized some more of the av malformations.   His moglobin was still down so the did  a nuclear blood scan.   They found some bleeding on the lower right colon.  They performed a colonoscopy and repaired that and a couple of other places.   Wednesday morning, December 10, 2008, he got out of bed and fell.   They did a CT scan of his head. They found blood on his brain.  He was moved to Brandon hospital that day, because Plant City does not have a neurosurgeon.   The neurosurgeon said it was old blood and the body will absorb it.  He has had a MRI and another CT scan.  They will continue to moniter the blood on his brain.    His hemoglobin dropped again.  The did another nuclear blood scan and found more bleeding in the right side of the colon.  Last night he had surgery again and they removed most of his colon.  He did not have to have a colostomy. 
He was given 4 units of blood last night.  His hemoglobin is good right now.   We are praying it stays up.  If it does, that means they have stopped the bleeding.   He is doing good.  All his vitals are good.
