[AReU] Scanner with an Attitude

I will bring a Radio Shack PRO 2008 scanner to the next AReU meeting.
It appears the scanner is in working order.
I now have the owner's manual, which lacks a schematic, but it does have a block diagram.

Is anyone who plans to attend the next AReU meeting willing to pull any technical information from the internet (or show me how to do it) in order to determine what part of the circuit could be tapped in order to add a carrier operated relay to the scanner?

When I bring in the scanner, if someone could show me where to attach a switching transistor which in turn will be used to key a relay, I would be most appreciative.
