We had a pretty good 10 meter round table tonight with 5 folks
checking in.

Tom (WB9HOH)
Tony (W4TAS)
DAVE (N4DLW)

There may have been others as I left the net around 10:20 PM.

I also checked into the STARC net at 7:30. They have real good participation
with about 20 folks checking in tonight.

This was also on the STARC UHF repeater!!!!

I also got with Dave (N4DLW) who has a 1.3 GHz fancy digital/FM
radio. I had my 1.3GHz transverter hooked up to my disccone antenna
and made a FB QSO with him on 1296.2 MHz FM.

His signal was S9 plus and the clarity was perfect. He also had armchair
copy on me. While I was at it I broke out my smaller transverter and tried
it out.
He heard me very well but the receiver on the smaller transverter is not
quite up to par. I will get cracking on this problem ASAP.

Don't forget to come to the BARS meeting this Thursday (07/20/2006).

I'll wager that Tom will have some doughnuts and other goodies for us.
Of course Tom's coffee is always above all my expecitations.
