[AReU]                                             July, 2006 meeting

   Because the first Tuesday in July lands on a holiday this year,
we have moved our July 2006 meeting to THURSDAY July the 6th.
  (Wednesday is a church day at our meeting place.)

   For this month's program DAN W2NDP MANFRE is going to demonstrate
the modern computer style of RTTY, radio teletype.  Developed for
wire use without using tubes or transistors, mechanical teletype
was moved to radio with simple modems then the electronic
revolution/evolution has moved this transmitting mode into the
"laptop era."  The RTTY MODE is faster than PSK and this RTTY is
quieter than the original noisy clatter.

   We know many have other things scheduled for Thursdays, but we
didn't create the calendar.  If you can make it, I will see you there.

So remember:

     REGULAR TIME        7 pm RC, 7:30 meeting begins
		
   Everyone interested in our club (which offers technical programs
and help in person and on line) continuing, needs to come if they
possibly can, and support we few (hard) core members.

   So be a part of the best technical Ham club here a'bouts,
join us at the Bell Shoals Baptist church (north end) at 7 for RC
or 7:30 for the program.  ARe U going?
