Hi Everyone,
We had a good meeting with some new and not seen for a while
ham-bones showing up.
Attendees were:
K4NWW Fred Crowson
KA4INM Ron Youvan
KA4ZAF Bobbie Petrash
KI4ILP Lou Pomales
N2MFT Tony De Angelo
N4DLW Dave Welty
N6ZUE Gregg Britton
W2NDP Dan Manfre
W4TAS Tony Stone
W4UOO Mike Sprenger
W7LGD Ed Hohenthaner
WA4BYK Terry Petrash
WA4HTZ Ken Mac Neill
WB4AKA Bob Haynes
There was a lot of activity going on all over the room so please
excuse me if I have overlooked something.
Ron, KA4INM, brought in a really impressive looking VHF 250 Watt
amplifier that he is trying to modify for 2 Meters. Tony,
W4TAS, tried offering some pointers on some possible
modification to make it work. Tony then retuned a set of
duplexers that Tony, N2MFT, recently acquired for use on UHF.
Tony used the HP spectrum analyzer to tune it while giving a
good informative demonstration of the process.
Tony also set up his Microwave transverters across the room and
demonstrated his latest modifications to this ongoing project.
In the middle of the room, ED, W7LGD, brought in his newly
acquired Tampa Hamfest prize Buddy Pole. Several participated
in assembling it and noting its' finer points. Ed made out
pretty good on that hamfest ticket purchase!
Across the room, Dave, N4DLW, Gregg, N6ZUE, Tony, N2MFT, and
Dan, W2NDP, discussed topics of interest while checking out
Dave's newly acquired mobile rig.
Mike, W4UOO, brought in a "What is it?" item of interest. An
old audio horn made out of wood and steel. Very interesting!
We had a few new faces arrive on the scene or at least as far as
I know, Bob, WB4AKA, and Ken, WA4HTZ. Bob has been in the Tampa
area for a long time but new to our group. Welcome Bob and Ken
and hope to see you all there again.
If you have any interesting gizmoes or "what is its" laying
around your hamshack, think about bring it to one of our
meetings and either telling us about it or asking us about it.
We all learn a lot from sharing each others questions,
experiences and knowledge.
Our next meeting will be the first Tuesday of January 2006.
Hope to see you all there along with other new and old faces.

Terry
WA4BYK
