This was an exceptional meeting! Mike Sprenger, W4UOO, put on
an A1 First Class presentation for PSK31. Mike had 2 laptops
hooked together to simulate a transmit and receive scenario for
PSK. The laptop screens were also directed to a projector for
great audience viewing. He presented the group with handouts
and addressed questions with diagrams on the wipe board for
clarity. He had pre-recorded copy which he played on the
laptops to see actual operations real time on the displays.
Mike could easily put this show on the road and probably charge
admission fees with out any problem, it was that good! Great
job Mike! And thanks from all of us.

Other activities also went on, Dave Peek, AI4CR, brought in some
HV equipment for testing things, Ron Youvan, KA4INM, brought in
a high amp power supply to check out a tube for George Collier,
KE4VDJ, and Tony Stone, W4TAS, preformend some maintnance work
to get it all up and going. Tony also had a gathering of other
little tidbits in which he assisted those in need. Fred
Crowson, K4NWW, got a new rig which Tony helped get programmed
and now hopefully on the air. Ed Hohenthaner, W7LGD, had his
trusty antenna analyzer there to check out Fred's antenna for
assurance that it was useable on the rig.
A lot of other activities and conversations took place which
were all interesting and beneficial to all those who
participated. It was really an active meeting.
Hope to see you all again next month.
If anyone has any topics or problems they want discussed, just
respond with an e-mail and we will see if someone can address it
for the next meeting.
