Greetings,
As promised at AReU last week, here's some of the links that I find useful
to work satellites:
--------------------------------------------------------
The AMSAT Web Site:
http://www.amsat.org
Information for New Satellite Users:
http://www.amsat.org/amsat-new/information/faqs/
---------------------------------------------------------
Here's the link to find the software such as a Satellite Tracking Program:
http://www.amsat.org/amsat/catalog/software.html
---------------------------------------------------------
Here's a link to the Keplarian Elements that the Satellite Tracking Program
will need:
http://www.amsat.org/amsat-new/tools/keps.php
---------------------------------------------------------
Heres a link to show what Satellites are operational, and the
frequencies/modes to work them. Note that to get started, sometimes its
nice to just try and hear the beacon of the satellite. The listings show
the beacon frequency:

---------------------------------------------------------
Our Newest Satellite, AO-51 (Named Echo) just launched:
http://www.amsat.org/amsat-new/echo/
----------------------------------------------------------
Have a look to see what mode AO-07 has been running and who's making contacts:
(Note that this satellite is only active in daylight, and the Mode A beacon
is 29.502 MHz (CW telemetry), but sometimes it comes up Mode B which is
downlink on 2M, It's totally a toss-up as to which it will be...
