It sounds like a "pencil triode" amplifier, I don't think you have
enough connections for it to be much else. Of the two kinds of klystrons
the amplifying kind requires a magnetic structure such as a solenoid
surrounding the tube. If my library wasn't in boxes I would throw a few
tube numbers at you. (from RCA tube manual) 1/4" in diameter and 2 1/2" long.
