I have searched the FCC web site for comments filed in reference to the BPL 
issue in the area around Brandon. 
I do not know how many folks have written letters directly to the FCC but 
here is a list of "briefs" filed with the FCC by locality.

Tampa          11

Total             23

If you check out the statistics, there are about 500 hams in the immediate 
Brandon area not including Plant City and Tampa.
