        FIELD DAY

It's the last of March folks.

That means that it's only three club meetings
away from Field Day.

There are only three meetings to decide who is
the Field Day chairman (head honcho), food
chairman, HFCW chairman, HF phone chairman,
VHF/UHF chairman, satellite chairman and
GOTA chairman.

These folks will arrange the station set ups,
schedule operations, buy and prepare the food,
assure that adequate equipment and antennas are
available and assure a reliable source of
emergency power for the field day site.

This sounds like a formidable task.
In fact it is if you look at it as one big bag
of work. If you break it up into smaller bags
with the chairmen dividing up their total
responsibilities into even smaller bags,
then it gets to looking more manageable.
It might even look like it's going to be a
lot of fun!!!!!

In fact, it will be a lot of fun!!!!!!!

How about volunteering for something. It
will take some of your time for sure but
you will get something out of it. It might
be just the pleasure of participation or
the satisfaction of a job well done but I
can guarantee you that a lot of folks will
appreciate your effort (well I can only
guarantee one person-ME).
