                                                [AReU]
As it turns out, our February meeting will occur on Tuesday the
fifth of February, which is next Tuesday.

We always have such a gud time, Tony W4TAS is progressing well
on his satellite equipment work, he will have some new `stuff' to
show us and we all get a little closer to working our radio friends
through AO-40 by listening to Tony's explanations.
Our proposed "S" band antennae testing session will be discussed.
I consider myself an antenna person but, last month I found out
what a `patch' antenna is, I had seen them, but I didn't even know
what they were called. There is so much to learn, so little time.

AReU is a `one on one' kind of club, if you miss or don't understand
something, ask a friend, the room is full of them.
If you are a beginner don't set next to other beginners, set next
to an old coot (like me!) and ask anything you want.

The one annual piece of business that we do have, is our contribution
to QTH.NET, our thanks for hoisting our (this) E-mail reflector, (called
a `mailing list' by civilians) we send $50 yearly, so if 10 of us that
show up have $5 each, we have it covered, last month was it, but our
excess informality prevented us from collecting it.

I upgraded to LINUX, the more I use it, the more I love it.
It doesn't do everything for you, you must program it.
