[AReU] AO40 stations in the Brandon/Valrico area

Looks like Mike (KD4LEB), Mike (not a typo-KB4JHU), Dick (W7RRS),
Ed (W7LGD), Fred (K4NWW) and Al (WD4A) are close to having receive
capabilities for the AO40 satellite on 2.4 GHz. Mike (KD4LEB) and
Ed (W7LGD) have copied signals from the bird on several occasions
but do not have uplinks working at present. Several brand new Ft 847's
have been delivered to the Brandon/Valrico area lately also. I hope we
can have several folks on the air on AO40 before too long.

In my humble opinion there is nothing quiet like receiving your first QSO
on a satellite after working diligently for a while figuring out what you
need, putting it together, and finally figuring out where to point the
stupid
antenna.

Maybe hearing your downlink is second on the list.
