Whether or not this message is addressed to me, I will respond to it. Just
like churches and other ministries and charities depend on contributions
from those who are involved in them, so it is with QSL.NET. Alan Waller is
NOT trying to make money from this incredibly expensive service he so kindly
offers; he (and the rest of us) simply ask the users who can afford to
contribute a few bucks ($5 or less would be more than enough if all would
help out) to keep this wonderful amateur radio service in existence. This
has nothing to do with anyone in or out of the White House; it has only to
do with amateurs helping to support their own hobby. While no great fan of
Mr. Bush, I bristle when folks blame him for their own unwillingness to
contribute.

Cry poverty though some hams may, the fact is irrefutable: if you can afford
amateur radio equipment (which isn't cheap, in case you may not know it),
you can afford a few bucks to support QSL.NET or whatever other amateur
radio organizations you may utilize but are too "thrifty" to support.

So "Bubba," please stop making excuses for your unwillingness to pitch in
just a little. You don't need a good job and big money; you need a sense of
appreciation for what Al has given us and the tiniest bit of generosity.
Bush isn't the problem here.

Well, you know there Bubba, if your wonderful breedy eyed fool
in the white house would stop shipping jobs overseas, maybe some
of us could get jobs, SO WE COULD CONTRIBUTE!

Not all of us have good jobs and big money.
