commercial purposes and as long as we don't there is no conflict with
Part 97. Using the same logic, any amateur radio purchased by a
served agency and installed on their premises could be loosely
considered a commercial venture as well and thus "illegal". As I
already posted, and reinforced by Dave Colter WA1ZCN this is merely a
legal maneuver to limit the served agencies exposure. But you are
CORRECT my friend this is a legal issue but not for the reasons you
suspect.
