The ARRL is not supporting the partyers, they're supporting Red Cross,
Salvation Army, and Government readiness to respond IN CASE SOMETHING BAD
happens *during* the event. Same as they would for an Olympics or other major
activity. 

It said SUPPORTING AGENCIES in the TITLE.

How is supporting the Red Cross politically motivated?

I sure hope ARES and RACES and the Red Cross are on stand by for the RNC next
month too -- but it will be a different section then, so a different Press
release.  Hopefully no one will accuse the ARRL of pandering to the
Republicans then ...

I guess those who accuse others of being Political are frequently the ones
Political. As became obvious from his "misspelling" of Demo(n)cratic!
