Okay guys,

Your previous replies on another topic were plentiful and very helpful. End result: new repeater on the air at our EOC.

We have acquired an FT897 for field deployment with an ATAS-120.  If you have one of these in use, how did you mount/install the antenna for temporary locations? Did you use a massive mag mount on a steel surface? Lash it to a mast of some kind? With or without radials?

As before and with gratitude, your input greatly appreciated.
