Okay people, can we return to ARES/RACES please.  In reading the messages
for the last few days, I'm ready to pull my name which doesn't mean a dam=

thing to the group but I will miss the messages that are important and ar=

It is very obvious that many "jail house lawyers" are giving opinions and
backing the opinion up with a quote from Part 97.  How about those that h=

questions regarding the Rules and Regs contact their local OOC or Section

Please try to put your opinions aside and take the time to learn what is
written and remember that the primary rule is if the situation is not
specifically stated in Part 97 then the FCC is not involved.  Only those
rules and regs in part 97 that are written down are real.  Using one
sentence, out of context, is not the way to read the rules.  Whole lot of
things have been changed in the last twenty years and some of the items I=
've
been reading in this group are way off target.=0D
