While I think it is appropriate to let LEO know of missing individuals, the
automatic transmission of an alert over an Amateur Radio Repeater could be
viewed by the Federal Communications Commission as a "broadcast" and control
of an amateur radio station by an unlicensed individual.

PLEASE join your local RACES team and include your ARES members to where
both hats.  MARS is not a bad idea either.  Work within your LOCAL
organization.  On other EM lists I am on, I am seeing a keen interest in
these three programs.
