It happens at museums of all kinds. The Spy Museum in DC had a horribly junked up S-40B receiver as part of a Russian spy op in DC in the early 50's. It was obviously botched up in the 70' owing to the modern S-meter installed. I offered them an as-new S-40B but never heard from them. An aviation museum in the Southwest had a PT-19 with 1970s type headsets. I sent them a couple of period headsets and they used them. One never knows. Too often, the "curators" know less about their displays than the visitors and are offended if constructive comment is offered.

errors on things. The museum was small but had a lot of good aircraft and

the a wall showing the full history of the base. The airfield is still in

operation as a general aviation airport. Also a crossed from the gate was

a small Vietnam Museum, which is staffed by volunteers. It was a nice day

trip for me and my wife.
