I built a one tube 80 meter transmitter / receiver using one 6J6 dual triode, one is the tx and the other the regen, and have worked several stations with it.
There is a picture on
my QRZ page.
Also built a single 6SN7 regen from the 1952 handbook and it works very well. Lots of QSOs with it and a Philmore NT-200 clone -6V6/6L6.
Regens are lots
of fun!
